Mrs. Alice (Wilkin) Allensworth, 78, of Rt. 1, Amsterdam, died at her home Monday of a heart attack. She was born June 11, 1888, in Massillon and had lived in Amsterdam about 65 years. Her parents were the late William and Margaret (Walton) Wilkin. Mrs. Allensworth was a member of Amsterdam Methodist Church. She was married April 15, 1908, to John Walter Allensworth, who died April 24, 1954.
Surviving are two sons, John H. Allensworth of Amsterdam and James E. Allensworth of North Canton; two brothers, William Wilkin of Amsterdam, and Edwin Wilkin of Alliance; one sister, Mrs. Ada McFadden of Erwin, Tenn., and five grandchildren. A son, Charles, died June 25, 1966. Also deceased are one granddaughter three brothers and one sister. Services are Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Allmon Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Lester E. Flauhaus of Massillon officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Mausoleum, in Carrollton.
