Funeral services for Elmer B. Boswell, 66, Hunter, will be at 3 p.m. today in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Enabnit officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Boswell died Monday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Newton County, Mo., and grew up there.
He and Dorothy Bowen were married in 1948. They moved to Hunter in 1970. Boswell was employed by the Champlin Refining Co. for 30 years and was retired at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Erma Fern Boswell; a grandson and a stepbrother.
Survivors include two daughters, Thadine Boswell of Hunter and Patricia Hoopingarner of Enid; two sons, Jack Boswell and Jerry Boswell, Enid; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a great-great-grandchild; seven sisters and five brothers.
The family has suggested that those who wish make contributions to the Elmer B. Boswell Memorial Fund. The funeral home will be in charge of the fund.
