George was the 10th child born to Robert and Jane (All) Foresman. His parents were born and married in the Province of Ulster, now Northern Ireland. According to Charles H. Foresman's genealogy "Foresman-Forsman", the area of Ulster may now be known as Armagh. Robert's father was Hugh Foresman. Hugh may have lived in Drumcarn. Robert and Jane left Ulster in 1765. George's brother, Phillip, was born on the ship on 1-1-1766. They eventually settled around Martins Creek, Northhampton Co., PA. George married Lettice Anderson in Northhampton Co. or Northumberland Co., PA. Most of their children were born in Northumberland Co. George's younger brother, William, purchased land in Pickaway Co., OH in 1812. I believe that George and Lettice moved to Pickaway Co. at that time. William settled about a mile west of Circleville. George's older brother, Hugh (1748-1811) also settled in Pickaway Co., OH. George and Lettice had 8 children: John, Robert Anderson, Lettice, Mary, Ann Eliza, James, Sarah, and Jane. George and Lettice both died in Pickaway Co. They may be buried in Forest Cemetery in Circleville. His brother, William and second wife, Mary are buried there.
