Carrol Ray Stone of Carthage, MO, was born on April 20, 1944 at Clarkridge, AR, to Aaron and Christine Kirkland Stone and passed away on June 11, 2014, at NHC HealthCare in Joplin, MO, at the age of 70 years.

Carrol served 4 years in the US Army and then joined the National Guard, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He served with the 224th Maintenance

Company of Mountain Home, AR, and during this time, he was deployed to Desert Storm. During his working years, he was employed as a brick mason. Carrol enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes and cards with his friends.

A memorial will be held for Carrol at Howards Ridge Cemetery in Howards Ridge, MO, at a later date.

He was a veteran serving in the US Army.
