Born March 29, 1918 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Stanislaus and Minnie Mummert Carbaugh. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Louise Rose Carbaugh.
Mr. Carbaugh was employed for 25 years with Freeman-Toor Shoe Company, Hanover, prior to retiring in 1988. He was a past member of the Hanover Loyal Order of the Moose.
He is survived by son David A. Carbaugh of Jonestown; four gradchildren; and two sisters, Mary Miller and Anna Wentz, both of Hanover.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, with the Rev. C. Leroy Doverspike officiating.
