Earline Baggett
(September 30, 1929 - June 10, 2014)

Indian Village-It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Earline Baggett, 84, share the passing of their wife and mother. Earline went to meet the Lord on June 10, 2014. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Indian Village Pentecostal Church. Rev. Terry Bushnell, Rev. Delbert Herrin and Rev. Tim Mahoney will officiate.

Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. The family will receive visitors at Indian Village Pentecostal Church on Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 4-9 P.M. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday morning from 8 A.M. until time of service.

Earline, affectionately known as "Sally", was born on September 30, 1929. After high school, she married the love of her life, her prince charming, Marvin A. Baggett. Their love for each other was evident for 66 years. From this marriage, two children were blessed to call her "mother."

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Timothy Baggett and wife, Sue, of Moss Bluff and her daughter, June Savant and husband, Tyrone, of Kinder; her grandchildren, Jared Savant and wife, Tanya, and Jill Laughlin, all of Lake Charles, Glyn Baggett and wife, Rhesa, of Brentwood, TN, Ashley Marcantel and husband, Paul, and Blake Savant, all of Kinder; and, eight great grandchildren-Lindsay, Abigail, Mallory, Sidney, Brynley, Makenzie, Josie and Callie. Earline, the eldest of nine children, is also survived by two brothers, Harry Almany of Cleveland, TX, and Samuel Almany and wife, Jeanne, of Nacogdoches, TX; four sisters, Wanda Alexander and husband, Cobb, of Reeves, Glenda Lantrip of Tyler, TX, Pat Almany, Rita Kingrey and husband, Larry, of Nacogdoches, TX; and her sister-in-law, Naomi Almany of Bryan, TX.

Earline is preceded in death by her mother and father, Earl C. and Annie Almany; two brothers, Butch Almany and Earl C. Almany, Jr.; and, one sister-in-law, Barbara Almany.

She lived and taught that God took and deserved first place, her husband was next, then her children and grandchildren received the rest of her love and affection. She taught Sunday school for over fifty years and was church organist for forty plus years. She loved God's creation; mountains and streams, birds, butterflies and flowers were her favorites.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Melanie Ortego, a faithful blessing to Earline and her family for almost six years. They would also like to express their appreciation to Dr. Susan Ieyoub, Dr. Richard Clements, and Grand Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation for their care and compassion.
