Bruce Quick, 73, of West Plains, MO formerly of Gainesville, passed away on June 10, 2014 at the West Vue Nursing & Rehab Center in West Plains, MO. He was born on August 1, 1940 in Mammoth, MO the son of Benjamin and Delena May (Deatherage) Quick.

As a teenager, Bruce was a steady fixture at the Baxter Theater in Mountain Home, AR where he operated the movie projector. He made lots of friends in his time there and was well remembered in the Mountain Home community. Bruce worked as a Real Estate agent for Century 21 Realty. He also loved to buy and trade. He has made many friends in his life's travels. He was a good hearted, slow talking country boy who could always put a smile on your face. On November 1, 1992, Bruce was united in marriage to Marilyn Barlow. The two have enjoyed a wonderful twenty plus years together. Bruce was a Christian and a member of the Mammoth Assembly of God church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Delena Quick and one sister Reba Smith. Bruce is survived by his wife Marilyn Quick of the home; his children Beth Climer and husband Rex of Midway, AR, Dirk Quick of San Antonio, TX, Stephanie Motes and husband Wayne of Springfield, MO, Eric Barlow of West Plains, MO and Michael Barlow and wife Crystal of Gutherie, OK; nine grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; eight siblings, Ernestine Mahan of Gassville, AR, Genelle Mahan and husband Eldon of Gainesville, MO, Arthurline Morrow of Holiday, FL, Norma Haney and husband Orville of Shawnee, KS, Elloise Fore and husband Edmond of Gepp, AR, Larry Quick and wife Dana of Mtn. Home, AR, Carmen Quick of Fayetteville, AR, Gary Quick of Pensacola, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Bruce will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Mammoth Assembly of God Church, south of Gainesville, MO with Bro. Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, AR. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 10th from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Home or to the National Kidney Foundation and can be left at the funeral home.
