Lois married Robert Lee Rodgers 01 Aug 1928 in Elbert, Texas. They divorced in the late-1960s or early 1970s.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings: Alva "Alvie" Eli Jennings, James Albert "Bud" Jennings, Vina "Viney" Frances (Jennings) Rodgers, Paskell "Pat" Andrew Jennings, and Horace Graford Jennings, plus one sibling that died in infancy.

Not counting numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Lois left behind 8 of her 10 children, 23 of her 30 grandchildren, 60 of her 63 great-grandchildren, and 34 of her (at last count) 35 great-great-grandchildren.

Lois Lorene Rodgers was born in Elbert, Texas, on September 10, 1911, daughter of Fred and Dora (Williams) Jennings. She departed this life Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Southeast Health in Doniphan, Missouri, at the age of 102 years, 8 months and 28 days.

Lois was a homemaker, and enjoyed her many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and loved to make quilts. She worked at a state hospital with mentally handicapped children for many years and was a member of the Viola Assembly of God Church in Viola, Arkansas.

Lois is survived by three daughters, Dora Watson of Viola, Arkansas, Barbara Bulington and husband Don of Doniphan, Missouri, and Martha Watkins of Bexar, Arkansas; five sons, Doyle Rodgers of Viola, Arkansas, Bob Rodgers and wife Helen of Viola, Arkansas, James Rodgers and wife Janene of Bexar, Arkansas, Normie Rodgers of Gerber, California, and Robert Rodgers and wife Marilyn of Monument, New Mexico; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bernard and Tommy; her parents; one sister and four brothers.

Graveside services will be held at Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Texas, at 9:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2014, with Rev. Bob Rodgers officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
