GASTONIA — Edith White Canipe, 87, died Oct. 8, 1999, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Cleveland County, and the daughter of Charlie Arthur and Sarah Selena Allen White.
She was also preceded by spouse, Alfred Lummie Canipe, and brothers, Garland, John, Thurman, James and Robert White.
Edith was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, the Young at Heart Sunday school class,and the Young at Heart senior citizens group.
She retired from Burlington Industry after more then 35 years of service.
