Mrs. Paul Frazier
Mrs. Maxine L. Frazier, 45, of 731 Lee Ave., died at her home Friday at 7:45 p.m. She had been a victim of multiple sclerosis for several years.
The daughter of Charles and Rinda M. Carder Poncy, she was born in Ottumwa, Jan. 18, 1924. She had been a lifetime resident here and attended Calvary Open Bible Church.
She married Paul L. Frazier in 1947 at Lancaster, Mo. He survives as do one son, Francis (Vernie) Frazier, of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Skinner of Fairfield, and Mrs. Nancy Sanford of Ottumwa; and two granddaughters, Lisa Skinner of Fairfield, and Tammy Frazier of Ottumwa. Other survivors include two half-brothers, George Bowers [sic] of Ottumwa, and Louie Bowers [sic] of Ontario, Calif.; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Veatch and Mrs. Hazel Rockhill, both of Ottumwa. An infant daughter, her parents, three half-brothers and one half-sister, preceded her in death.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Leo Simmons, pastor of Calvary Open Bible Church. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
