Son of George Fauver, Revolutionary War Patriot. See link below.

Several sources say his first wife was *Rebecca Nickles/Nichols, perhaps of Scottish descent. They married Dec 12, 1821 in Newfield Twp., [Tioga County], NY. After her death he married Martha Wampole, prob. between 1855 and 1860. Some sources say she was the third wife; unknown who the 2nd wife was and speculation only. Fauver family Bible indicates the spelling of her maiden name as 'Nickles'.

[*Scotland is said to be the birthplace of Samuel B.’s wife, Rebecca Nicols/Nickles Fauver, according to most researchers. She named her last son Samuel ‘Creg’ Fauver. That may/may not give some information about her birthplace. Standing alone, a creg means ‘rock,’ and she may have been born on a farm located on a rocky point. Other research points to her birthplace as ‘near Castle Craig’ (or Craig Castle), Scotland. Food for thought. Some researchers indicated she was of Scot-Irish stock; however, if she came directly from Scotland to America, she was not, technically, Scot-Irish--defined as one who has Scottish roots but lived in Ireland before emigrating to America. Her birthplace is not supported by solid fact in any research I found.

Rebecca is said to have been born around 1790 in Scotland, and died Feb 1852 in Corning, Steuben County, NY. By Rebecca, he had (12) children. His second wife was Martha Ann Wampole, and they had two more children.

Known children by his first wife, Rebecca.
Information should be used loosely, some speculation involved.

Children by his 2nd known wife, Martha Wampole:

2.

[Note: Martha Wampole, born est. 1822 in Steuben County NY, had been married twice before her marriage to Samuel B. Fauver, once divorced and once widowed, and appears to have had two previous children, according to research I read. She is said to have died in about 1865, probably in Canisteo, Steuben, NY, when her two boys, Emmett and Emery, were very young. Emery may have had some later connection to Battle Creek MI and the Kellogg Company. The two older children by previous marriages were given over to the care of other Wampole family members when she died.]
