WHITWELL: James Edward Rogers, passed away, Saturday, April 26, 2014.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and had worked as a carpenter for many years building homes in the Jasper area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sim and Mattie Shadrick Rogers and a sister, Faye Baggley.
James is survived by his wife, Rosetta "Rose" Gardner Rogers; children, Tammy Davis, Stacey Sims, Allen Rogers, Tracey Atterton and Iris Rogers; siblings, Joe Davis, Tootsie Ferguson, Rita Williams, Racheal Freels and Joyce Hudson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 1 pm CDT, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, with Bro. Roger Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
