Annette Rae Katz, 92, passed away May 16, 2014. Born Oct 30th, 1922 to Frank and Gertrude Goldstein of San Antonio, Texas. United in marriage to Vernon Katz on January 16th, 1946. "Nickki" resided in St Louis, Missouri following her marriage where she raised a family, was active in her Temple, assisted in running the family business, Katz Accessories and enjoyed an active social life. Since residing in Florida for the past 30 years, she was very active in her community, continuing her commitment to her faith serving on various committees at Beth El Temple in Daytona Beach. She served in an executive capacity for the American Medical Center, Women's American ORT, the Daytona Symphony Society, the Daytona Symphony Guild, and the Brandeis University Women's Committee. She was a woman of wide ranging interests, from local sports teams and politics to opera. During her life she enjoyed interests including reading, movies, playing bridge, and socializing with her many friends. Earlier in life, she was able to travel extensively with her husband Vernon, developing an appreciation for various peoples and their culture. She was a "classy" lady known for her great sense of humor, as well as her loyalty to, and appreciation of her friends and family. Annette was preceded by her husband Vernon, her parents and sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, her daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren abd theeir spouses.
