Bert Vancil, son of Alonzo Vancil, living just west of the river was drowned Tuesday morning. The stream was very high and the banks soft and slippery, and it is supposed that in attempting to get into a boat he slipped and fell into the water. He was missed almost immediately and anxious search was made, but up to this writing the body has not been recovered. The unfortunate boy was 11 years old and his loss is a heavy blow to his family.
