Hinton, Nellie Jean, 83, Ephrata, PA formerly of Johnstown, died Feb. 14, 2000. Born June 25, 1917, in New Paris, the youngest child of William Border Mickle and Lessie Viola (Blackburn) Mickle. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Joseph Martin Hinton, and eleven brothers and sisters. Nellie grew up in farm country, and graduated valedictorian of the Class of 1934 of New Paris High School.
