He was born March 18, 1891 in Garnett, a son of the late Henry and Bertha Mahloch Baltz.
On June 6, 1921, he married Lydia Achenbach in Sheboygan. She died Nov. 15, 1979.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
Mr. Baltz owned and operated the Frigidaire dealership in Chilton, and was a self-employed electrician in Calumet County for many years.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Chilton and the VFW Post No. 3153.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George (Rachel) Dunlap of Whitefish Bay; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Wieting Funeral Home, Chilton. The Rev. Joe Anderson, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery.
