Services Held for Braytown`s Myrtle Carter Services were held in Vevay Sunday for Mrs. Myrtle A. Carter, 56, or near Braytown who died last Wednesday evening at her home near there.
She was born March 13, 1909, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of William Henderson Harmon and Rilla Louise Stockdale. She had resided in Switzerland County the past 25 years and was a member of the Braytown Christian Church.
On August 15, 1928, she was married to Albert Sidney Carter, who survives her. Other survivors include one son, Albert of near Moorefield; three daughters, Mrs. Alma Jean Carter Rayles of near Moorefield, Mrs. Loretta Kirkendall of Goldsboro, N.C., and Miss Wilma Lucille "Bill" Carter at home; three brothers, Earl Harmon of Near Milton, Ky., and Forrest and Harold Harmon,both of near Braytown; five sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Mae "Gertie" Harmon Banta of near Braytown, Mrs. Mabel Reed, Mrs. Mary Cummins, Mrs. Dorothy C. Harmon Leatherbury,and Miss Josephine Lena Harmon all of Madison; and five grandchildren.
Services were held under the direction of Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home with burial in Vevay Cemetery.
