VIRGINIA PEARSON BATT HANSON "Ginnie" DRAKE, aged 99, passed away peacefully Monday, May 19, 2014 in her sleep at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mrs. Drake was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania in October of 1914.

From 1958 to 1982 she served the healthcare industry in roles as Director, Vice President and Executive of Housekeeping. Trained at University Hospital in Cleveland, she then supervised the Housekeeping Departments at Lake County Memorial Hospitals of Willoughby and Painesville in Ohio and Pardee Hospital of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Additionally, she served as President of the National Executive Housekeeping Association.

Mrs. Drake is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Pearson, sister, Adelaide Howe, husbands, Robert Thomas Batt, Milfred Hanson, William Drake and her son, Robert Lee Batt. She is survived by a daughter, son, and one step-daughter; three grand-daughters and four great-grandchildren.

Burial arrangements are being handled by Brown- Wynne Funeral Home of Raleigh, NC. Services: She will be laid to rest 5 June 2014 at Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
