Loyd Ronald Stinnett, 62, of Westmont, Ill., died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Ill.
Mr. Stinnett was a native of Lewisburg. He was a retired carpenter, and loved cooking and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Grover Stinnett.
He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Joanne R. Kenig; sons, Shane and Seth Stinnett; siblings, Mabel Spivey, Aline Whitesell, Hazel White, Mildred Smith, Wilma Reynolds, Bobbie Johnson, and Jeannie Barlar; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Whiskers.
Services were private. Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations Ltd. and Memorial Chapel.
