Mrs. Augusta Lanning, 86, died yesterday afternoon in her home at Vinne Ha Ha, Lake Koshkonong, Rte. 3, Fort Atkinson after several years of failing health. Augusta Malloy, daughter of Thomas and Mary Viney Malloy, was born in Janesville Feb. 11, 1881. She was married to Herbert E. Hathorn in Rockford in 1901. He died Feb. 27, 1948 and her second husband, Jay A. Lanning, died in 1957. Surviving are a son, Ross M. Hathorn, Janesville; a sister, Mrs. Frank Dixson, Janesville; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Overton Funeral Home, the Rev. Odyss W. Kneece, First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night from 7 to 9.
