He was Born November 18, 1945, in West Point to Elizabeth and John L. Bedford Sr.
Upon Graduating from West Point High School, he went to Idaho to Fight Forest Fires between College Semesters.
He attended Mississippi State University.
He then Served two years as a Marine in Vietnam, earning Several Medals, including a Purple Heart.
He met his Wife, Sharon, when both were working for the FBI in Washington D.C.
He went on to work for Central Service Association in Tupelo for over 18 years.
After his Career with CSA, he moved to Texas and became a Business Owner until he Retired.
He owned Accutest Services Inc. and Corpus Christi Powder Coating.
He was an Active Member of South Shore Christian Church; and went over and beyond with his involvement there.
In his free time he enjoyed Fishing and spending time with his Family, especially his Grand Babies.
A Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, he will be Deeply Missed by his Family and his numerous Friends.
He is survived by his Wife of more than 43 years, Sharon Bedford of Corpus Christi, TX; Daughters, Tina Bedford of Corpus Christi; and Carisa Walker and Husband, Clay, of Houston, TX; Sisters, Emily Schepens and Husband, Jim; and Paula Bedford; both of Kingwood, TX; Grandchildren, Macy, Abby and Myles Walker, all of Houston, TX; and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Memorial Services were held Saturday, May 18, at South Shore Christian Church.
Sawyer-George Funeral Home of Corpus Christi was in charge of arrangements.
