PETER E. RASSETTE of Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Rassette, age 78, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Aleta V. Lutz VA Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Detroit on July 12, 1935 to the late Eugene and Mary (Genderon) Rassette. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard, a member of St. Marie Goretti Catholic Church, The Ushers Club and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, . . . whom he married July 11, 2011 in Toronto, Canada; his children . . . and their mother . . . ; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; he was predeceased by his second wife, Evelyn (Carmona) Rassette in December 28, 2009 and survived by her children, . . . , eight step grandchildren; also Hilda's children, . . . ; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, his sisters, . . . . . He was preceded in death by a brother, Gaye Rassette and three sisters, Ellen, Faith and Mary.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 8, 2014 at 10 am from St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church with Rev Fr. . . . and Sister . . . will officiate over the funeral rites inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 am until time of mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society or the St. Maria Goretti Church.
