Born January 20, 1937, in Paw Paw, she was the daughter of the late Oscar "Pete" and Mamie Eaton Clingerman.
She graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1956.
She retired from Tate Engineering and had been a homemaker in recent years.
She was an active square dancer, liked to travel and was an avid reader. She volunteered at the Chesapeake Arts Center and the Senior Center in Glen Burnie.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela Miller, Severn, Md. and Tina Dorsey, Martinsburg; one son, Bryan Ambrose, Annapolis, Md.; five grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Carly Miller, Justin Dorsey, Corey Dorsey and Shannon Ambrose; two greatgrandchildren; one sister, Linda Barker, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Raymond Clingerman, Greenwood, Del. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter "Ray" Ambrose and one brother, Robert Clingerman.
Services were held at The Gonce Funeral Home, Brooklyn Park, Md. on Monday, June 2. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn Park.
