Doris Prosser Bebb Bender, 80, of E. Depot Street, Hellertown, died July 2 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Merritt A. Bender and the late William A. Bebb. Born in Hellertown, she was a daughter of the late William F.D. and Elsie (Knoble) Prosser. She attended Presbyterian School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and received her R.N. degree as a cadet on a Navajo reservation in Nevada. She was a charter member of Mountainview Moravian Church, Hellertown. She will be most remembered for her care and compassion for family, friends and all others whose paths she crossed.

Survivors: Husband; son, Thomas J. Bebb and wife Joan of Pottstown; daughters, Maryann Falatek of King of Prussia, Helen, wife of Wayne Banko of Kennewick, Wash.; brother, William K. Prosser of Hellertown; sister, Jeanette Davis of New Orleans, La.; eight grandchildren, a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, William K., a grandson, Steven, a brother, Earl, and sisters, Verna, Josephine, Ruth, Sue, Marie and Loretta.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. Call 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
