Mary is belived to be the daughter of John and Charlotte Brownlee. She married Wilson Richard Sproles about 1852 (after the death of his wife Mary Ann Fortune Sproles). Mary and Wilson had at least 11 children, most are also buried at Saron Cemetery. Mary was a member of the Saron Baptist Church.
Note: Although Mary's birthdate on the gravestone appears as 1838, it is listed here as 1834 based on her given age in three separate Federal Census records.
