Catherine was born Nov. 5, 1916 in Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Frank and Jenny (Ebel) Waskow. Catherine graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1934. On Sept. 10, 1942, she married Harry J. Belonger at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Harry preceded her in death on March 26, 1985.
Catherine was a homemaker for many years and was well known in the Two Rivers area as a seamstress. She was also involved in the Veterans Auxiliary, W.F.L.A. Bohemian Lodge and the Two Rivers Senior Center.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law; one son and daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law; two sisters-in-law; one sister; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Catherine was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister-in-law: Larry, Paul and Kenny; and Nancy Waskow; and one brother-in-law: Milton Sloggett.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Cremation will then take place with burial of the
cremated remains at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Tuesday (TODAY), Nov. 9, 2004, at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. led by the Rev. William O'Brien.
