Helen Reed Thompson, 89, of Wilmington, North Carolina died June 12, 2007 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Barnesville, Ohio on September 17, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Blanche Triplett O'Brien.

She attended Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. Helen was a wonderful mother and loyal friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Reed; her second husband, Paul Thompson; two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by three daughters; two brothers; two sisters; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2007 at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Fulda, Ohio. Inurnment will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cape Fear Presbyterian Church Youth Program, 2606 Newkirk Ave., Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
