She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Anderson Mattson and according to Lutheran Church records she was born at Stanchfield, Isanti County, MN where the family is enumerated in 1885. From records it appears she was first married to a Wiltsey although a marriage record has not been found. They had a daughter who was born in Oregon in 1909 and divorced shortly before the end of 1910. MN marriage records give 24 May 1912 as the date of her marriage to Peter Albin Larson and they had three known children.
