Mrs. Catherine Stivers Dies at Ashley Home
    Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Stivers, 70, longtime resident of Ashley, died last night at 9:30 at her home, 141 North Main Street, Ashley. Mrs. Either. was born in Wright Township, but resided in Ashley 40 years. She was the widow of Horace S. Stivers and a member of Ashley Presbyterian Church and Friendly Council 21, D. of A., of Wilkes-Barre.
    Surviving are these children: Arthur of Chicago; Ray of Wilkes-Barre; George of New York City; Mrs. Raymond Myers, West Pittston; Harry of Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Irene Heberling, Wilkes-Barre; and Hazel Stivers at home; also five grandsons; two brothers, Fred Hildebrand of Sugarloaf and William Hildebrand of St. John's; a half sister, Mrs. Catherine Weidenbach, and a half brother, Adam Hildebrand of Philadelphia.
    The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from her home, Rev. Robert Graham officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
