Effie Lucille Morris, 92, of Fortville, passed away May 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1921 in Monticello, KY to the late Fount and Maggie (Denny) Bertram. She had co-owned Morris Bros. Grocery in New Castle and retired from the former Brookside Corporation. Lucille was a member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church. She is survived by children: Warren D. (Zelda) Morris of Somerset, KY and Brenda (Frank) Caudell of Fortville; grandchildren: Michael K. Morris, James Dean Caudell and Holly Evers; two great-grandchildren; brothers: Sam, Bill and Bob Bertram; sisters: Jean Hill, Gladys Watson and Doris Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by husband Jessie Morris; granddaughter Leslie Jo Morris; brother Fred Bertram; and sister Bea Abbott.
Funeral Information

A Celebration of Lucille's life will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
