According to one Find A Grave contributor - the website Familysearch.org lists Abigal as Shivers not Shinn. All my documentation shows Shinn.

Daughter of Samuel Shinn born about 1781 possibly in New York.
Also listed in my book is a Daniel Shinn son of John & martha (Parker) Shinn b. 11/30/1781 Mount Holly, NJ d. 2/28/1852 Atlas, Pike Co, Illinois. Both Samuel & Daniel show year of birth 1781. There is no Abigal Shinn associated with Daniel in my book. This is a mystery to me and needs further research.
Abigal married Dr. Thomas Aiton April 12, 1849. Information on page 32 of The McClintock Memorial by A. Louise (McClintock) Shelton. She had 3 children. l) Mary Aiton b. 1850 married John Waggoner; 2) Sylvanus Harry Aiton(memorial #53139032) & Isabel Pleasant Aiton(memorial #53138594) died age 1 and age 2 and both buried Shinn Cemetery Pike Co Ill. with mother. According to ancestry.com Dr. Thomas Aiton was appointed to postmaster of the New Hartford Post Office, Pike Illinois on April 13, 1855.
