She was born on December 21, 1929 to Ursel and Alice (Hutchens) Grover at Rigby, Idaho. She was the eighth of thirteen children. She married Victor Lee on November 17, 1950 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She worked as a teller at First Security Bank for many years. She also worked in the lunch room at Ucon School. She and Victor lived in Idaho Falls, and then moved to California for about three years; they then made their home in Milo. Martha was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in many capacities until her health wouldn't permit. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, fishing, painting and making porcelain dolls. She was also an accomplished cake decorator.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Kelly) Howell, of Milo, son; Brett Lee, of Ririe, sisters; Zola Rhone, of Boise, Donna Storer, of Idaho Falls, Bonnie (Harlow) Andersen, of Las Vegas, NV, brothers; Blaine (Mary) Grover, of Dubois, Jerry (Kay) Grover, of Spanish Fork, Utah, Reo (Helen) Grover, of Mississippi, Arlo (Karen) Grover, of Ririe, Jack (Roberta) Grover, of Shelley, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor "Vic" Lee (1990), a daughter, Peggy Mallard (2012), son, Dirk Lee (2009), parents Ursel Grover (1976), Alice Grover (1952); sisters Ruth Hudson (2007), Amber Lovell (2005), Merle Driggs (2008), Rex Kay (1926). Graveside services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Milo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby.
