OBITUARY
Montgomery Standard, Montgomery City, Missouri, 14 Nov 1930
Samuel Darwin Hudnall was born in Patrick county, Virginia, Sept. 1855, and passed peacefully away at his home in Williamsburg, Mo., Sunday, Nov. 9, 1930, being 75 years and 19 days of age.
On Oct. 18, 1882, he was married to Miss Rosa Davis, who departed this life June 17, 1899. There were no children born to this union.
On May 10, 1908, he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Bryant. To this union four children were born, three daughters and one son-Addle May, Daisy Belle, Samuel Edwin and Eunice-all of Williamsburg. Besides the above children, he is survived by his companion and elder brother, Peter P. Hudnall of Chicago.
Some forty years ago he professed religion and united with the Loutre Baptist church, remaining a member until death.
He had been in bad health for several years and for the last six months or more he suffered intensely with that dread disease dropsy. A place is vacant in the home, but the sorrowing ones can take consolation from the fact that his suffering is ended forever, for he was ready to go when he was called.
After a brief service conduct by the writer at the home at 2 o'clock p.m. Monday, the remains were interred in the Nettle cemetery at Conley school house, three miles northwest of Mineola - R. W. Hunley
