BAIRD — Horace E (Hob) Elliott, age 91 of Baird, Texas died Saturday, January 14, 2006 in an Abilene hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2:OO p.m., Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 at Parker Funeral Home Chapel. Jon Hardwick will officiate and burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery Annex, with military honors.

Horace was born November 26, 1914 in Baird,Texas to Rob- ert Lee Elliott and Ella Fikes Elliott. He had lived in Baird all of his life. He worked at the Premier Refinery for many years where he was injured in a fall, and had severe injuries. Later he worked for the City of Baird Municipal Power and light plant. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years during WW II. He was a Presbyterian.

He was an avid bridge player and golfer and was considered the best and wisest bridge player in the bridge club.

Survived by one Daughter, Shirley Latham and husband, Rich- ard of Abilene, Texas; one Son: Ronnie Elliott of Brownwood, Texas; 8 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers and 2 grandchildren Kathy and Robert Elliott.

There will be a family visitation from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
