The McBrides spelled it "Leverton." A Family Search pedigree spells it "Leverton." Rachel's parents spelled it "Leaverton."

Rachel's parents are said (tree on FamilySearch) to be John Foster Leverton (1755-1838) and Hannah Wilson Leverton (1757-1835). John may be buried at Pleasant Hill, Leesburg. Hannah is said to have been buried on the family farm.
