SWEETWATER -- Ardis D. Gaither, Jr., 64, died Friday, May 13, 2005 in Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2005 at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Reverend Tommy Fraley and Alan Carson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
He was born on March 2, 1941 in Stephenville, Texas the son of Ardis D., Sr., and Rhudene F. Gaither. He married Alice Assiter on December, 26, 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas. He Is Loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife, Alice Gaither of Sweetwater; a daughter, Sidra Gaither of Sweetwater; two sons, Stephen Gaither of Prescott, Arizona and Matthew Gaither of Sweetwater; and a nephew, Timothy Brennan.
He was preceded in death by his father Ardis D. Gaither, Sr., on July 5, 1995; his mother Rhudene F. Gaither on August 23, 1996; and one sister, Betti Brennan.
The family will receive friends and visitors from 3:30 until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the funeral home.
