Barbara H. Gidley nee Bagsby, 60, of Waterloo, died March 7, 2005, in Belleville. She was born
May 5, 1944, in Red Bud, the daughter of the late John and Flossie Bagsby nee Cockrell. She was
married to James M. Gidley. She is survived by her husband; daughter Tammy (Tom) Vogt of Fults; step-children Kathy (Mike) Kern of Dupo, and Marty (Connie) Gidley of Masa, Ariz.; granddaughter Megan Vogt; step-grandchildren Jamie Kern, Eric Gidley, Kenny Gidley and Heather Gidley; sisters Lucille Cissell of Evansville and Ann (Alfred) Dehn of Columbia; brothers William (Mary Epplin) Bagsby of Red Bud, Harold (Juanita) Bagsby of Columbia, James A. Bagsby of Belleville, John Bagsby Jr. of Dittmer, Mo., Rudy Bagsby of Fenton, Mo., and Leo (Janet) Bagsby of Buena Park, Calif.; and sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Claude Bagsby. Mrs. Gidley was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Renault. She worked as a laundry aide at Monroe County Care and Rehab Center. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Fr. Roger Karban officiating. She is buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Renault. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Renault.
