Douglas E. Walling, 44, Minneapolis, formerly of Bemidji, died Tuesday at Caroline Center, Minneapolis, after a long illness. Memorial services were and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Walling was born April 22, 1942, at Bemidji, to Elmer and Ethel Walling. He grew up here, graduated from Bemidji High School and attended Bemidji State University for three years. He then moved to Minneapolis, where he had lived since.
He is survived by his mother, Bemidji; a brother, James, West Berlin, N.J.; and a half sister, Kathryn Pritchard, Mayfield Village, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father and a half sister.
