Earl was educated through the Broward County School System and graduated from Dillard High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in Job CORPS and completed the program and received specialized job training. After leaving Job CORPS, he returned to Ft. Lauderdale and worked in many capacities.
In 1969 with a few of his friends Earl decided to make a new life for himself in Atlanta, GA. He was blessed to find employment with The Omni Hotel Atlanta. Earl loved his job and worked diligently through the years until he was promoted into a supervisory position. No matter the weather or his health condition, Earl would fulfill his obligation to the Omni. He gave the Omni 35 years of excellent service.
It was in Atlanta, that Earl met and married a sweet little lady named Patricia (Pat) Anderson. Earl loved Pat and he always had her best interest at heart. They settled in the suburb of Austell, and together reared Pat's grandson Brandon. Earl and Brandon shared a special bond and he would often say; "Brandon, that's my boy, I don't know what I'd do without him." Earl attended Cathedral Church of God In Christ.
Earl was a true "homeboy" he loved Fort Lauderdale. When the opportunity presented itself, he would spend hours talking and reminiscing about his childhood and his friends. He was one of the true historians of the city and its people. One of his final wishes was to come home to the city he loved so dearly. He was an avid golfer and he loved playing and watching the sport on T.V. he would say; "You know, golf is addicting." Earl was a kind, humble, and genuine spirit. He was devoted to those closest to him and had a real concern for his family and he supported them in any way he could. Earl took pride in his appearance and he believed in always being clean cut and neat and he fashioned himself with nice clothes and shoes. He was a good man and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He was proceeded in death by his sister Diane.
