The deceased was born in Evans, NY, on October 4th, 1846. He was the son of Smiley and Marnarvia Goodell and resided at Warsaw, where he lived until he enlisted at the age of 18 in the Civil War on Nov. 16th, 1863, in Company G. Second N.Y. Mounted Rifles. and served until the close of the war.
In 1872 he was married to Phoebe Ann Spencer. He is survived by his wife, also two sons -- Bingham of this place and Harvey of Groveland Station -- and by one daughter, Mrs. John Bloss of Eagle. He leaves 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at his late home on Saturday last at 2 o'clock, by Rev. Mr. Fraser, and at the grave by the Fulton Post No 52, G.A.R. of which he was a member.
