Clarence E. Hewitt, 73, died in Louisville, Kentucky on February 6, 1950. He was the son of George T. Hewitt and Ellen Louise Smith. He was born in Douds, Iowa on September 15, 1876. He married Rosanna "Rosa" McMullen, the daughter of John W. McMullen and Susanna Sertz in Van Buren County, Iowa on September 5, 1900. They had three children; Reuel Edward, Mabel Clarissa, and Dr. John George Hewitt.
