Funeral services for LaVon Timothy, 64 will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Uintah Stake Center. Mr. Timothy died Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. following a long illness.
He was born January 11,1901 in Vernal a son of Brigham and Hannah Sabey Timothy. He married Ardelta Maxfield December 28, 1925 in Vernal.
He is survived by his widow of Vernal, two sons, Kay Timothy of Vernal and Leon Timothy of Tempe, Ariz., six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Charlie Timothy, Vernal; Heber Timothy, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Lottie Allen of Price.
Mr. Timothy was a member of the LDS Church. He had worked at Bonanza for 20 years as their tool sharpener until the time of his illness.
Friends and family may call at the Vernal Mortuary Friday evening from 7 to 9 and Saturday morning prior to services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
