Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joel Higgins officiating. Soloist will be Laura Asmussen with A.J. Sherrill as organist.
Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Watertown.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Debra Asmussen, Laura Gehling, Michele Martindale, Brooke Brusseau, Beth Asmussen and Kimberly Asmussen.

Arlene Della Asmussen Krulish, daughter of Carl P. and Harlene D. (Burton) Schaeppi was born on November 3, 1928 in St. Paul, MN. She attended school in Minnesota until 1939 when the family moved to Mitchell, SD and lived there for one year before moving to Watertown. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1946.
Arlene married Ervin F. Asmussen on January 10, 1944 and they had six sons, Larry, Gary, Steven, Brian, Bruce and Kevin. She attended Lake Area Technical Institute, and was with the first class of Medical Assisting to have graduated in 1970. She was employed at St. Ann's Hospital from 1971-1972 and then for Dr. Bernie Hanson from 1972-1981. Ervin passed away in January of 1967.
On December 18, 1976 she married Calvin R. Krulish in Watertown, SD where they have lived ever since.
Arlene was a member of First United Methodist Church, Esther Circle and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Vesta Chapter #1 of Eastern Star, V.F.W. Auxiliary and her Bridge Clubs.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Calvin; her children, Larry (Barbara) Asmussen of Coon Rapids, MN, Gary (Birgitta) Asmussen of Anoka, MN, Steve (Elaine) Asmussen of Maple Grove, MN, Brian (Ginny) Asmussen of Zimmerman, MN, Bruce (Judy) Asmussen of Plainview, NE, and Kevin (Carol) Asmussen of Watertown, SD; her brother, Thomas (Dorothy) Schaeppi of Sioux Falls, and their 4 sons, Greg, Brad, Vance and Kurt; one stepson, Daniel (Lynda) Krulish of Lonsdale, MN; two stepdaughters, Mary Krulish Bakker of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jody (Jack) Lundie of Brookings, SD; 14 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; many friends and relatives; and special friends, Dick and Margaret Snover of Watertown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ervin in 1967; and her brother, Charles.
