Alice Gaudin Achord went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at 4:45 a.m. She was 95 years old. She was a retired East Baton Rouge Parish school bus driver. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gonzales. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Monday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Arthur Achord and the Rev. Tommy Middleton. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter, Anita Thompson and husband Frank; three grandchildren, Barry Moulder and wife Marta, Jimmy Moulder and wife Terri, and Becky Rushing and husband Steve; four great-grandchildren, Aeryn, Jason and Bill Moulder and Christopher Rushing; her other grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Tanya, Tracy, Tommy, Toby, David Paul, Tiffany, Dillon, Matthew, Ashley, Abby, Krista, Brittany, Trevor, Kaitlyn, Micah, Caleb and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Achord; parents, Omer and Lillie Gaudin; and all of her siblings, Melba, Leland, John, J.D., Barney, Sidney, Lucille, Guy and Ray. Pallbearers will be Barry Moulder, Jimmy Moulder, Steve Rushing, Tracy Thompson, Jason Moulder and Mel Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Rushing, Bill Moulder, Tommy Thompson and Toby Thompson. She was a longtime member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be tremendously missed by all.
