Agatha Cusumano Galassi, 84, of Old Forge died Saturday morning in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the widow of Theodore A. Galassi, who died in 1993. Born in Old Forge to the late Giovanni "John" and Rose Scioscia Cusumano, she was a lifelong resident of the borough and a 1938 graduate of Old Forge High School. In her earlier years she was employed by Rohr Lingerie in Old Forge. She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Old Forge. Agatha will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered by those who knew her for her comforting and clever sense of humor. She was preceded in death by one brother, Vito Cusumano; and four sisters, Angeline Giglio, Carmella Licciardone, Eva Cusumano, and Fannie Dalessandro. The funeral will be held Tuesday with a Blessing Service at 11:00 AM in the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery. A mass will be offered at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
