Hugh Pressley "Whitey" Whitesides 75, of 510 Berry Shoals Road, passed away on Monday May 12, 2014. A native of Kings Mountain, NC., he was the husband of Kathy Parrish Whitesides and a son of Ira and Meril Clunager Whitesides. He was Owner and President of Whitesides Construction for 45 years. Mr. Whitesides was a Master Mason for 43 years and was a life member of the Irvin Southworth Lodge # 350 and a Hejaz Shriner.

Survivors also include three sons, Benjamin Whitesides and Deborah, Mark Whitesides and Casey Pitman, all of Duncan, Nick Whitesides and Amanda of Lyman; a stepdaughter Ammie Margarita and David of Blacksburg a stepson Marcus Parrish of Gaffney, a brother, Novak Whitesides of Kings Mountain NC; a sister, Iris Thomas of Bethany, SC, fourteen grand-children, Kyle, Patricia, Nikki, Wyatt, Kristen, Ashlynn,
Katie, Bryston, Bradley, Karsyn, Shelby, Devin, Sierra, and Noah; and a great-grandchild Kaylum

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jon Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westwood Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites.
