Born in Lexington, South Carolina, June 17, 1831 to George Adam Eichelberger and Mahala Egner Eichelberger. He married Fannie Hill and had three children, Myra Hill Eichelberger, Lula Eichelberger, and David M. Eichelberger. Capt. Eichelberger died Dec. 2, 1862 in the service of the Confederate States of America.
