He was born in Longmont on July 23, 1939 to Harold L. and Ruth A. (Carlson) Oehler. Charles was raised in Longmont and attended Longmont High School where he enjoyed intramural sports. He retired in 2004 after working 34 years for Western Foundry. Charles worshiped at Faith Baptist Church and LifeBridge Christian Church. He was a member of the Mead Fishing & Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and horseback riding. He was a devoted fan of Longmont High School sports, the Broncos and the Rockies. He loved nature and animals.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mark Alan Oehler and sisters Beverly Joyce Cantonwine and Rose Ellen Froebel.
Charles is survived by his brother, two sisters Donna (Tom) Messenger and Sharon Pauline (Barry) Hazard, numerous nieces, nephews and his Caregiver.
