Eliza was the youngest child of John William Bowman and Rebecca Jane Mozingo Bowman Patterson, per the depositions of her brother and others in her father's Civil War Pension File. She did not appear in the 1870 Census. The 1870 Census was taken 01 September 1870. It is highly thought that Eliza was born in 1869, and died before 01 September 1870 when the census was taken. There is a slight possibility she was born after 01 September 1870, as her father died 20 December 1869 per his death record. The likelihood is very low as her father would have been literally on his death bed when Rebecca conceived Eliza, but if this be true (Eliza being born immediately following 01 September 1870) then Eliza died in the early 1870s. Burial is somewhere in Ohio County, West Virginia. I have not been able to find a death record.
