Walter Carlson, 82, Noblesville, Ind., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville.

He was born July 25, 1926, in Hibbing to Walter E. and Bernice (Auger) Carlson. Walter had worked for Mercedes Benz as a district sales manager. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Cicero, Ind. He served in the Navy and Marines. He also was a member of Harbour Trees Golf Course.

He is survived by son Roger Carlson, Noblesville; daughter Mary (Floyd) Benberry, Cumberland, Ind.; grandsons Gerald Burdick and Thomas (Shannon) Burdick; step granddaughter Michelle Benberry; step-great-grandson Damon Terry; great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Burdick; and brother Terrance (Valerie) Carlson.

Funeral: Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Cicero with the Rev. W. Michael Kettron officiating.

Burial: Burial was in Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery, Westfield, Ind.
